One of my favorite things to write about is coffee. Coffee makers, barista-inspired gadgets, new caffeinated products that help keep me excited — drinking coffee and tasting related products is a work in progress, forgive puns. I found that it wakes up my brain, it takes, * aham * things I move, and, less obviously, he is an incredible hero and for the health of my skin.
Yes, the same Joe cup that makes me buzz every morning makes my skin buzz. Specifically, this latte-inspired mask from Florence By Mills, Millie Bobby Brown’s own beauty brand. Twice a week, I use the Feed Your Soul Love UA Latte mask ($ 18) and twice a week, my face comes out as if it had just three shots of espresso.

Like I said, coffee’s reputation comes as a drink in itself. Yes, it is full of caffeine, giving you mood and energy when you need it most. But dietitians love it for other nutritional reasons: it is an antioxidant that helps boost immunity to disease and inflammation, is full of essential vitamins, and stimulates the nervous system to make things – including your intestines – go faster.
It turns out that it works just as well on the body as it does within it. Coffee beans powder and oil – the main ingredients of Florence By Mills coffee mask – contain all these wonderful nutrients and antioxidants to boost the skin. Specifically, it contains vitamin B5 which smoothes the skin and smoothes the texture and potassium that encourages renewal and new growth. Talk about a strong brew.
I also love this multi-tasking mask for its gentle exfoliation powered by – you guessed it – coffee! While you can use it as a mask, it doubles as a deep cleansing scrub shaped with natural impurities to remove dead skin, dirt and dirt layers. As someone who has tried many natural exfoliators, I’m impressed by how thin the Florence By Mills mask is. It is not so thin and coarse that it does not work, nor is it coarse enough to scratch your skin to the point of pain. Think of it as the Goldilocks exfoliator, leaving your skin “just right” after just one session.
Just as I will never tell anyone how to drink their coffee, so I will never tell them how to use a beauty product – everything is a personal preference. Nevertheless, I do personally use this mask 1-2 times a week. Unlike me, who needs a cup of joe every day when I wake up, my face is happy drinking it every few days, especially when I use it as a scrub. As it is formulated with hyaluronic acid (for moisture) and glycerin (a moisturizer that keeps moisture in), it adds a long-lasting hydration and glow glow, even hours later.
One, potentially weird thing I am doing to do with the mask every day, however, is to give it a scent. This mask with coffee smells so heavenly and awakens your senses whether it is on your face or not. It’s what won him reviews after reviews praising his flawless scent. One customer called it “the highlight of the experience”, thanks to its refreshing scent, and I can confirm that it is indeed an important point. It smells like making coffee the first thing in the morning and it’s beautiful.
Whether you are a coffee lover like me or you prefer to take your caffeine in a different way, awaken your skin with the Florence By Mills coffee mask. You will love a latte.
