Ever since Tower 28 first launched its line of modern, skin-friendly cosmetics in 2019, SOS Rescue Spray ($ 28) has not left me. My skin can be itchy, and whether it is accidental redness, occasional eruptions or dryness at desert level, something apparently it always happens in my face. Whatever it is, however, this spray always seems to come in to save the day, throwing a necessary lifeline on my skin whenever it shouts “SOS”.

And now, this spray comes in an extremely uniform serum that saves the skin more strong in stopping red spots and blemishes on their traces. The brand’s latest launch, SOS Intensive Rescue Serum ($ 34), is essentially a lifeguard in a bottle, designed to soothe “extra angry skin” with its minimalist but powerful ingredients.

Tower 28 SOS Intensive Rescue Serum: An honest review

Like the original spray, SOS Intensive Rescue is powered by hypochlorous acid, a natural acid found in the body’s white blood cells that helps fight things like bacteria and inflammation. It has similar effects on your skin as it does on the inside of the body, encouraging the skin to repair itself when it feels like it is gone. Since the serum has such a strong dose of substance, it is especially good at soothing this “extra angry skin”, stimulating the blood flow to the face to increase healing. Consider: swollen red spots, cleansed spots, and hydrated dry patches.

“[Hypochlorous acid] is a really interesting ingredient because we do not see much in medicine and beauty where something works for everyone for a variety of different things “, said the double certified plastic surgeon and Dr. 90210 starring Kelly Killeen, MD, FACS, at a Tower 28 event. “This product gives your skin a chance to heal because of your skin wants to cure.”

These super-healing powers have actually impressed me and my face. While you can use it as a daily serum to protect your skin in reg, I like to use my own as a spot treatment — this concentrated dose of hypochlorous acid goes a long way when I’ve been bitten. If, say, my face is super dry and itchy or an outbreak spreads, I will dive twice, spraying my face with the spray before rubbing it with the serum. And unlike other highly effective products I have tried, this one does not dry you out. It is made with only two other ingredients — water and salt — specially selected to mimic the body’s natural moisture, and my face has never felt so clean and healthy.

Others on the Well + Good team also love it for its ability to respond to SOS. “Tower28 SOS Rescue Spray has become my favorite face cloud. I like to spray it after washing my face and before I do my routine, so that the hypochlorous acid to make my skin beautiful and clean”, says the beauty author Kara Jillian Brown. . “I’m very excited to have this ingredient in a serum. It goes on so smoothly and now I feel like I can apply it to thick pimples, scratches and cuts.”

For the days when your skin begs for extra help, Tower 28 SOS Intensive Rescue Serum is the salvation you need. A bottle of this material goes too far, your skin lifeguard is waiting to save the day whenever you need it.
